Tossed, not shaken or stirred

A quick review on the road:

Travelling back from the stag do I stopped at Oxford Services for some lunch (and, more importantly, a coffee!). Service stations are often difficult; fast food, with an emphasis on fast can lead to poor service and difficulties in requesting allergy info. To be fair, the allergen info is usually available (it has to be by law) but the peer pressure of hundreds of people all in a hurry for their lunch makes it difficult to fully peruse a complex allergen menu.

I’d never ordered from Tossed before but they did salads and wraps and things that might work/be nice. You order on an iPad and then collect the order from the counter so it’s fairly impersonal. But once you register an allergen it flags up any of the options you can’t have. But even better than that; most of the options have substitutions you can make to make it suitable.

I ordered a peri-peri chicken wrap and coconut milk flat white (pretentious again, I know!) in complete confidence they didn’t contain milk. Perfect! It helped that it was really tasty and the order (randomly) went through as “Kate Moss” which is always nice*, particularly after the weekend I’ve had!
